Stem Cell Global Foundation associated Cord Blood Banks follow the following certifications and affiliations :

AABB

AABB formerly known as the American Association of Blood Banks - has continued to support the highest standards of medical, technical and administrative performance; scientific investigation; and clinical application through standard setting, accreditation, education, advocacy and other activities. Nearly 2,000 institutions, including community and hospital blood banks, hospital transfusion services and laboratories, and about 8,000 individuals, including physicians, nurses and other health care providers; scientists; administrators; medical technologists; blood donor recruiters; and public relations practitioners, are members of AABB.

Mission
AABB advances the practice and standards of transfusion medicine and cellular therapies to optimize patient and donor care and safety.

ACBB

The Alberta Cord Blood Bank is a non-profit organization dedicated to the collection and preservation of umbilical cord blood stem cells for public use. These cells are used for transplantation in individuals threatened by cancer, lethal congenital anemias and other disorders that can be treated with bone marrow transplantation.

CSA (Canadian Standards Association)

The Canadian Standards Association is a not-for-profit membership-based association serving business, industry, government and consumers in Canada and the global marketplace.

FDA

FDA is an agency within the Department of Health and Human Services and consists of centers and offices, which are listed in menu at left. The FDA is also responsible for advancing the public health by helping to speed innovations that make medicines and foods more effective, safer, and more affordable; and helping the public get the accurate, science-based information they need to use medicines and foods to improve their health.

FACT (Foundation for the Accreditation of Cellular Therapy)

The FACT accreditation process includes submission of documentation in English to demonstrate compliance with the NetCord/FACT International Standards for Cord Blood Collection, Processing, Testing, Selection and Release, now available in its third edition, which is followed by an on-site
Inspection based on a check list including almost 400 check points.

NMDB

Nmdb is a network database (dbm-style) for controlled networks that can use different protocols to communicate with its clients. It supports TIPC, TCP, UDP and SCTP.

ISO 9001:2000

ISO is a non-governmental organization that forms a bridge between the public and private sectors. On the one hand, many of its member institutes are part of the governmental structure of their countries, or are mandated by their government. On the other hand, other members have their roots uniquely in the private sector, having been set up by national partnerships of industry associations. Therefore, ISO enables a consensus to be reached on solutions that meet both the requirements of business and the broader needs of society.

TGA Australia

The TGA carries out a range of assessment and monitoring activities to ensure therapeutic goods available in Australia are of an acceptable standard with the aim of ensuring that the Australian community has access, within a reasonable time, to therapeutic advances.

(APCBBC)- Asia

The APCBBC (Asia Pacific Cord Blood Bank Consortium) was established in 2002 with a mission to promote the concept and elevate the significance of cord blood stem cell banking and therapy to health professionals, parents in the community and the general public throughout the region. The APCBBC offers member cord blood stem cell bankers the opportunity to meet, discuss and collaborate to address current issues surrounding the industry's development around the region. The forum will address industry perspectives, medical breakthroughs and the applications of cord blood stem cells in the region today and in the future. Industry perspectives include how cord blood stem cell banking has provided for successful patient transplantations and enabled doctors to offer their patients stem cell therapy as an option, and how the industry is perceived by the general public.
